Sam supports clients in a variety of electronics and software fields. After starting his career in private practice, Sam moved into industry and has served as IP director for a wearables startup as well as IP counsel for a FTSE 100 company specialising in threat detection and security screening technologies.

Sam is well versed in the challenges and opportunities present in startups and emerging companies. He can successfully deliver cost-effective IP strategies to drive investment and revenue through licensing.

Sam started his career in Japan before settling in the UK. During his training, he achieved the highest mark in the European-wide patent drafting exam and the highest aggregate mark across all European Qualifying Examination papers.
