John deals with a wide range of patent and design work in the mechanical and general engineering fields and also carries out significant trade mark work for clients. He has considerable experience in patent litigation and in trade mark opposition and cancellation proceedings worldwide. He represents clients at hearings before the UK Patent Office and in Oral Proceedings before the European Patent Office.

John started with a Dublin based IP firm after graduating from Queen’s University in Belfast 1997 and moved to Sweden to work with a Swedish IP firm gaining valuable overseas experience. John set up his own IP practice Hanna IP in January 2007.
